I think the qualities clients appreciate most are my patience and my compassion for their animals, who I know are like their family members.
I know that visiting the vet can be stressful for both cats and dogs, so I take time with pets to make them comfortable during their visit. My Fear Free certification has given me additional tools to use when I can see a patient is anxious. I emphasize wellness and preventive care so patients can stay happy and healthy, especially if I have referred a patient to another veterinary professional.
Throughout my veterinary career, I’ve been dedicated to clear communication with my clients to help them understand all their choices. My passion for better medical communication extends to CSU veterinary students, who I coach in their communication labs each year. (A bonus of teaching is that it keeps challenging and honing my own communication skills.)
As a parent, I strive to create a kid-friendly environment with snacks, books, and coloring (come see our art wall!). I’ve always enjoyed answering kids’ questions with the hope that one day they will be inspired to become veterinarians themselves!
On the weekends, I enjoy hiking, camping, skiing, reading, movies, and hanging out with my husband, kids, and dog.
I can’t wait for Firehouse to open and to meet you and your furry family members!
