Community Involvement
We believe in giving back to the communities we serve and call home, and we partner with many local nonprofits.
Our Work
Through the end of 2018, we’ve donated over $525,000 in services and other support to our community, including numerous Central Texas animal welfare nonprofits.
Our team volunteers at 40+ events per year. Our biggest three commitments are to the Lions Club Buda Wiener Dog Races, Austin PRIDE, and “Paddle for Puppies”.
The annual Lions Club Buda Wiener Dog Races raises money for student scholarships each April. Firehouse serves as race judges, contestant authority and event veterinarian. Click here to watch our recap video.
The Austin PRIDE Festival celebrates Austin’s diversity. Firehouse hosts an “ask the vet” booth and serves as a hydration station for thirsty pups. Click here to watch our recap video.
We also support 12 local animal nonprofits to enhance the lives of pets in shelters through free medical care. This allows dogs and cats to be ready for adoption and their forever families. As we open more locations, we’ll expand our partnerships. Through 2019, we’ve donated over $375K in free medical care for services like XRays, surgeries, dental cleanings, medications, and vaccines.
